Gratitude and Giving Back
Not only do we love where we live, but we are so grateful to support our clients in their real estate endeavors on the Central Coast. Thank you for trusting us and supporting us! As we reflect on the things we are grateful for this month, we wanted to share a bit more about New Story with all of you.
Our team donates 10% of our commissions to support the mission at New Story. New Story is building homes for those in need and we love helping them unlock the dream of homeownership for others.
Most of the families New Story works with are making less than $15 a day and are living in makeshift shelters with no clean water. 100% of our donations will go toward building a home for a family to thrive in. The goal is to aid in helping end homelessness, and provide an otherwise unobtainable thing to families in Haiti, El Salvador, Mexico, and Bolivia.
As you know with your new home, a home changes everything. Hear from a few families below who now have safe shelter:
“With this new house, I will finally have a place to call home! It will feel so good, and I will feel so much better there. Here, it is very hard and very hot under the blue tarp. But in our new home, the children will all have space to run and play with other kids. Their childhood will be so much better than it has been here. They can worry less, and live more.

“I’m lucky to have such a beautiful home. When I received the keys — there were no words,” he says. “This is life-changing. I’m very happy.” “Now I can sleep through the storms. The wind won’t wake me up, and I won’t have to worry about our metal roof detaching and flying off,” he says. “Everything feels more secure, and I’m grateful that my family is not at risk due to the elements. In the future, I’d love to open a small salon in my home so people can come to get haircuts and more.”

As the community our donation has been allocated to is built, we will keep you updated with the progress and share photos. We’re excited to partner with New Story on this journey and we can’t wait to show you the impact of the donation.
